We’re DIYs, too. Completely gutted and rebuilt our first house from the inside out. Moved last fall to a house that needs far less work, but will fit our family better.
But the DIY pull is still strong… painted stripes in the twins’ nursery — just finished over the weekend. Could have been easy stripes, but nope, not this mama. They are four different colors and three different widths. Plus a stenciled border. This meant hours of taping, but we love how it looks!
I’ll have pics on the blog, probably this weekend after I get a chance to download and do some photo editing.
Anyway, it is completely common for us to find a speed square in the pantry or a drill index in the bathroom. My five-year-old properly says you “drive” a nail or screw and my three-year-old can remove painter’s tape like a pro…
